Legend of Korra, “Rules”

Summary: If I love truly one person I love all persons, I love the world, I love life. If I can say to somebody else, “I love you,” I must be able to say, “I love in you everybody, I love through you the world, I love in you also myself.”

Pairing(s): Mako/Korra, implied Mako/Asami

A/N: Yes, anon, yes I do and I hate myself for it. And I was listening to Rules by Jayme Dee while writing this.

Her touch was firm, a reprimand that pushed him away from her, that made his eyes widen and his jaw grit with disappointment. “No?”

Korra shook her head slowly. “No. Not now. Not tonight.” A small lift of her shoulders follows. “Maybe not for a long time.”

All Mako did was furrow his eyebrows, confusion creasing his face. “But, I thought this is what you wanted.”
